In Term 5, Thames View Primary children took part in a sponsored read with the support of Usborne Publishing.

Children collected sponsor monies and logged how many books and how many minutes they read over the course of a week. Two years ago we successfully raised around £2,700, and our target this year was around £3,000.

Well….the support of all our children and their families has surpassed our target. We raised, along with the commission from Usborne, around £4,400!! Wow, wow and another wow!

Through these monies raised, we have been able to buy a HUGE range of books for all year groups, class sets of dictionaries, atlases, thesauruses and a variety of other resources.
